Boy this this come in handy moving sheets of OSB when I was working in the garage. This is a great one man work alone item and saved my back.
This is really an excellent item. It does work as expected and hope for. I also recieved this item timely.
It is what it is.I thing It could use a better area of contact with the board though.Maybe a hardened rubber with slip resistant qualities.Im always worried about going up stairs with a board and find myself exerting lots of force to prevent that.
This thing made it possible for me to carry a 12x8x1/2 drywall sheet by myself. I won't say it wasn't heavy, but it took away the awkward factor and made it just like lifting a heavy suitcase.
I bought two of these to help me and my girlfriend carry sheetrock upstairs on a remodeling project. Even though I am six feet four, I would need longer arms to grab the bottom and the top at the same time, but with this tool you have longer hands because it grabs the bottom with the tool and you hold the tool at a higher level giving the ability to stabilize and carry the board. Although you can carry the sheetrock using this tool with only one person, having someone else at the other end carrying it upstairs prevents from dragging on the stairs because of the angle, but I was able to carry one by myself. The first time I carried sheetrock upstairs without using this tool my shoulders reminded me of the event for the next week or so. We were able to carry four panels of sheetrock, one at a time upstairs without breaking a sweat and breaking our backs. It's definetely worth the money and I highly recommended it unless you like to bust your chops.
